The mission of the American Humanist Association is to advance humanism, an ethical and life-affirming philosophy free of belief in any gods and other supernatural forces. Advocating for equality for nontheists and a society guided by reason, empathy, and our growing knowledge of the world, the AHA promotes a worldview that encourages individuals to live informed and meaningful lives that aspire to the greater good. Rabbi Sherwin Wine, founder of our our congregation, received the AHA's Humanist Pioneer Award in 1991.

The Center for Inquiry strives to foster a secular society based on reason, science, freedom of inquiry, and humanist values.
SECULAR COALITION FOR AMERICA
The Secular Coalition for America is a 501(c)(4) advocacy organization whose purpose is to amplify the diverse and growing voice of the nontheistic community in the United States. It is located in Washington, D.C. for ready access to government, activist partners and the media. Its staff lobbies U.S. Congress on issues of special concern to our constituency. The Society for Humanistic Judaism is a member of the Coalition.
